Chloe, from the UK, on the key going out pieces this autumn/winter
For most girls half of the fun in going out is in the getting ready. Gathering the girls round and watching X Factor while getting glammed up for a night out has become a Saturday night ritual in my social circle. We have a few drinks, share make-up tips, clothes and gossip, not to mention get more than a little jealous of Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole’s gorgeous designer dresses!
Luckily for us Dorothy Perkins has some great replicas to the hottest designer trends, so we can look equally as glam for much less! The key to the perfect going out outfit for us is a dress, one item that never goes out of fashion. The LBD is the obvious fail safe, and it easily makes the transition from season to season with just a simple change of accessories to bring it up to date.
For autumn/ winter I’m channelling my inner rock goddess with this season’s matte sequins, power shoulders and leather. I complete the look with some black opaque tights and my new favourite shoes – Dorothy Perkins studded ankle boots – before heading out to dance the night away in the indie clubs of Birmingham.
Forget pretentious bars and overpriced cocktails, we like dark clubs and dirty dance floors (as long as they don’t ruin our shoes!) The night usually ends when we’re the last ones on the dance floor – an unhealthy takeaway and taxi journey later and it’s time for bed, ready to do it all again next week in a new outfit!
